Wide screen televisions range in size from 40" to 65". They can vary from LCDs, DLPs, to Cathode Ray Tubes. Reflecting off a mirror in the back of the set these televisions are ideal for medium size rooms where the viewing will be taking place between 10 - 15 feet away from the set. New technology such as the DLP and LCD allow the viewer a wider viewing angle than had previously been possible. Many rear projection televisions now come HD ready and in the 16:9 viewing format.
